About the Authors
The idea of writing a book about the Galitzine family, encompassing the 19th and 20th centuries, came up in 1992 during a family reunion. Twelve cousins and Jacques Ferrand worked for ten years on the research. It was initially intended as an avenue for the younger generation to become acquainted with their past in order to help them to build their future. As it turned out, the book has became an historical reference that is treasured by Russian scholars and libraries around the world.
